Dupuytren's Disease (or Dupuytren's Contracture) is a
condition where the fingers of your hand become stiff and
"curled up" towards the palm of your hands.
Connective tissues in the hand and skin thicken to the
degree that the function of the tendons are affected.

The little finger and ring finger are
more likely to be affected than your other fingers or
thumbs. Condition is not that painful - more annoying than
anything, as it can restrict the normal full range of finger
motion.
Possible causes of Dupuytren's
Contracture are thought to be hereditary but, have shown up
in people who are heavy drinkers and smokers. Some cases are
associated with diabetes, epilepsy, and those with thyroid
problems.
